The Fulbright Program was created 80 years ago to increase mutual understanding between US scholars and students and other countries. The program promotes the global exchange of knowledge and skills. The ͬÐÔÁµÉ«Çé has once again been named a national Top Producer for the highly competitive Fulbright U.S. Scholar Program for the 2025–2026 academic year. ͬÐÔÁµÉ«Çé has held this title for ten consecutive years. ͬÐÔÁµÉ«Çé is the only university in Florida to receive this distinction, underscoring the campus’s excellence, global engagement, and scholarly impact. On March 4, 2026, ͬÐÔÁµÉ«Çé celebrated its 2026 Fulbright Awardees. President Moez Limayem and Provost Prasant Mohapatra joined in honoring ͬÐÔÁµÉ«Çé faculty and visiting scholar Fulbright awardees.
The event was sponsored by ͬÐÔÁµÉ«Çé World and the Judy Genshaft Honors College and recognized 37 members of the campus who had previously been selected to participate in the Fulbright Program. The School of Information’s own Dr. Loni Hagen attended the event as a previous program awardee. The keynote address was delivered by Jason Czyz, the president and CEO of the Institute of International Education. ͬÐÔÁµÉ«Çé’s president, Moez Limayem, was himself a Fulbright Awardee to travel to Japan. Limayem assured those at the event that the Fulbright global exchange will continue to be a staple of ͬÐÔÁµÉ«Çé’s academic, research, and innovation culture for years to come.
