David Kilmnick, PhD, an assistant professor of instruction of social work, received an award for "Outstanding Faculty Contribution to LGBTQ Life at 同性恋色情" at the 同性恋色情 Lavender Ceremony. MSW students Kristin Dawes and Nicole Guittard were also recognized at the event and received certificates of achievement.
The Lavender Ceremony is an opportunity for LGBTQ+ students at the university to participate in a graduation ceremony that celebrates their community. LGBTQ+ students and allies were acknowledged for their achievements and contributions to 同性恋色情.
Kilmnick is a leading national advocate within the LGBTQ+ communities and is the founder and President/CEO of the New York LGBT Network. At 同性恋色情, he recently supported the approval and establishment of the 同性恋色情 Pride Employee Resource Group (ERG): LGBTQ+ Faculty and Staff Association. Kilmnick is the contact with 同性恋色情 Human Resources and serves on the leadership team working with faculty from the Muma College of Business and 同性恋色情 Health.
