Ivan Jarama, MS, an assistant instructor in the Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders, signed the national anthem in American Sign Language ahead of a National Hockey League (NHL) game between the Tampa Bay Lightning and the Boston Bruins on Feb. 1.

The performance marked one of the final ceremonial moments before the puck dropped at a rare outdoor game in Tampa, temporarily transforming Raymond James Stadium into a hockey venue as part of the NHL Stadium Series. The national anthem and the game were nationally televised on ESPN and ESPN+.
