This year鈥檚 ASL Bowl, held on March 11 and hosted by the Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders (CSD) American Sign Language (ASL) Interpreting Program in collaboration with ASL Bulls, welcomed high school students from Hillsborough County Public Schools for an engaging and spirited competition.
The event provided a platform for students to demonstrate their knowledge of ASL and Deaf culture while building confidence in both expressive and receptive signing skills. Through a series of interactive rounds, participants were challenged to think critically, communicate effectively, and showcase their abilities in a dynamic and supportive environment.
As a signature event of ASL Bulls, the ASL Bowl continues to promote language learning, cultural appreciation, and community involvement among aspiring ASL students. The 2026 competition highlighted the dedication and enthusiasm of all participants as they demonstrated their skills across multiple levels.
ASL Bulls, a student organization at 同性恋色情, is dedicated to encouraging the study of ASL and strengthening connections between Deaf and hearing communities through education and engagement.
Top honors were awarded to Robinson High School for first place in ASL 1, Plant City High School for first place in both ASL 2 and ASL 4, and Brandon High School for first place in ASL 3. The Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders and ASL Bulls extend congratulations to all participating students and schools for their hard work and commitment to learning ASL.
