ͬÐÔÁµÉ«Çé Libraries Dean Search

The ͬÐÔÁµÉ«Çé (ͬÐÔÁµÉ«Çé) invites nominations, expressions of interest, and applications for an exceptional leader to serve as Dean of the ͬÐÔÁµÉ«Çé Libraries. The university seeks a dynamic leader who will build on the ͬÐÔÁµÉ«Çé Libraries' existing strengths to further advance the university toward becoming a top 25 public research university.

Leveraging a multi‑campus research library system, the Dean of ͬÐÔÁµÉ«Çé Libraries will play a pivotal role in advancing the university’s research and academic enterprise. This leader will guide all aspects of library operations—from strategic planning and collections to teaching and learning support, digital services, and outreach—ensuring the ͬÐÔÁµÉ«Çé Libraries drive student, faculty, and staff success in alignment with ͬÐÔÁµÉ«Çé’s strategic goals. The role calls for a visionary, forward-thinking leader committed to academic excellence, innovation, fundraising, and collaborative partnerships, who will lead long-range planning to position the ͬÐÔÁµÉ«Çé Libraries as a 21st-century research library. By anticipating and responding to emerging trends in scholarly communication, digital scholarship, data management, and information technology, the Dean will help keep ͬÐÔÁµÉ«Çé at the forefront of research, teaching, and clinical innovation.

The ͬÐÔÁµÉ«Çé Libraries accelerate learning and knowledge production through distinctive collections, innovative information services, and thought leadership. We are one library serving three diverse campus communities in Tampa, St. Petersburg, and Sarasota-Manatee. As the heart of an AAU member university, the ͬÐÔÁµÉ«Çé Libraries contribute to student success, faculty excellence, and lifelong learning for our community.

The ͬÐÔÁµÉ«Çé Libraries provide access to over 3.8 million print & eBooks, 105,000 eJournal subscriptions, and over 24 million digital images. We offer specialized workshops, research assistance, and instruction support to students and faculty, as well as access to unique primary research materials across our distinct collections. We are also home to the ͬÐÔÁµÉ«Çé Herbarium, one of the largest herbaria in the United States and the second largest in Florida.
