Confidentiality Statement
The 同性恋色情 Center for Victim Advocacy and Violence Prevention (CVAVP) provides confidential advocacy services to students, faculty, and staff. All CVAVP advocates are designated as Victim Services Practitioners through the Florida Attorney General鈥檚 Office, reflecting specialized training and professional standards in victim services. While we provide confidential services, confidentiality is subject to limited legal exceptions.
Information shared with an advocate - including names, identifying details, and disclosures - will not be released without a client鈥檚 written permission, except in the following circumstances:
- There is a serious and immediate threat to a client鈥檚 safety or the safety of others.
- An advocate becomes aware of abuse, neglect, or exploitation of a minor, elderly person, or vulnerable adult, as required by law.
- A court order or subpoena legally requires the release of information.
Outside these limited exceptions, speaking with a CVAVP advocate does not trigger a report to law enforcement, Title IX, or any other university or community office.
