Institution: Bloomin’ Brands

Amanda Kardosh is a corporate sustainability leader with more than 20 years of experience advancing climate strategy, ESG reporting, and responsible supply chain practices across global organizations. She currently leads sustainability at Bloomin’ Brands, where she oversees environmental and social initiatives for a portfolio of internationally recognized restaurant brands, including Outback Steakhouse, Carrabba’s Italian Grill, Bonefish Grill, and Fleming’s Prime Steakhouse & Wine Bar.

Originally from Brazil, Amanda’s passion for sustainability began early in her career, sparked by an interest in climate economics and the emerging concept of carbon markets. This curiosity shaped both her academic path and professional trajectory, leading her to build deep expertise at the intersection of business strategy, climate policy, and measurable environmental impact. After relocating to the United States, she earned a Master of Science in Global Sustainability from the ͬÐÔÁµÉ«Çé’s Patel College of Global Sustainability, where she strengthened her technical foundation, gained hands-on experience with real-world projects, and developed a professional network that helped launch the next phase of her career.

At Bloomin’ Brands, Amanda has played a central role in building the company’s sustainability function from the ground up. Her work spans climate risk management, regulatory readiness, supplier engagement, and enterprise-wide sustainability reporting. Under her leadership, the company established its sustainability reporting framework, released its first sustainability report, and now publishes an annual report that aligns with investor and regulatory expectations. She also guides the company’s climate strategy, supporting progress toward a 46% emissions reduction target by 2030 through energy efficiency, electrification, and long-term decarbonization planning.
