Dr. Ramdeo 鈥淎ndy鈥 Seepaul is an agricultural scientist, sustainability leader, and Executive Director of the Brooksville Agricultural & Environmental Research Station (BAERS) at Florida A&M University. He leads applied research, education, and community engagement programs focused on climate-smart agriculture, soil and water conservation, emerging crops, and workforce development. Born and raised in Guyana, where his early experiences were shaped by rural agriculture and family ties to farm labor, Dr. Seepaul brings a deeply personal perspective to sustainable food systems. His career has spanned land-grant research, multi-state collaborations, and public鈥損rivate partnerships advancing resilient cropping systems, nutrient management, and renewable feedstocks. As part of FAMU鈥檚 1890 land-grant mission, Dr. Seepaul is committed to equity-driven innovation, supporting underserved farmers, and preparing the next generation of leaders at the intersection of agriculture, climate, and sustainability.
